Dear Mr. Pickens, I fully support your endeavors regarding reducing our dependency on foreign oil while simultaneously generating new "green" energy. My company is involved with the reclamation of LFG through the use of proprietary technologies that effectively wash the gases in order to produce a more pristine product. Don't be stupid!!!   Don't bet on natural gas (NGAS).  Oil is going down and gas is cheaper than NGAS.

The people who were trying to sell the NGAS plan says it's 40% cheaper than gas at $5 - yeah because most people aren't using it yet.  They just opt not to tell you what will happen to NGAS when we do.

But I will.  If we start using NGAS, the law  of supply & demand dictates that NGAS prices will sky rocket as proven by the recent oil price spikes.  If you think $5 gas is too expensive, wait till NGAS prices explodes with nationwide demand.  You'll be paying $10/gallon for NGAS easily unless we import it in abundance.

 

The pickens plan is nonsense. He's just looking for another way to make money. He just lost like $500 million running some energy investment scheme that failed.

If pickens was really serious, he would not be waste millions advertising some silly old plan that doesn't even include FREE solar energy. Instead of putting up ads, he should be putting up wind turbines all across america and putting people back to work and selling that energy to utilities and making money - becuase the more energy we have the less we need to import it. Now that's a real energy plan right there.

So he wants to get U.S. off overseas oil... really? He has billions... why isn't he doing something about it then? Spending millions on ads does not give us energy nor does it put anyone to work.

THE EV-1 was faster on the take off than gasoline sports cars. the life of the battery was unbelieveable. if this vehicle had been left on the market, we wouldn't have the oil problem that exist today. every citizen should have the opportunity to see this film and send a message to congress as to how we have been lied to by the bush administration and the oil companies. the nation should see the truth about ANWR too. it is a frozen tundra and not what the drive bye news media would have you believe. i would be glad to e-mail you the ANWR pictures and the cover up of that story. you would not believe what you would see in the pictures. the EPA is responsible for that lie.......................

mr pickens, some information for your readers. in 1996, GM introduced the EV-1 all electric full size automobile to conform to the 2% emissions mandate passed by the california legislature. it was leased to the populace of the state. phyllis diller, tom hanks, mel gibson and many california citizens leased these vehicles. when the lease was up on the cars, GM stated that they were not for sale. GM, along with pres bush and the oil companies pressured the state to resend the mandate claiming that there was no demand for them. they were retrieved under protest from the leasors, stored and later ground up into tiny pieces. they would go 200 miles on a battery that was invented by a gentleman in california. look up WHO KILLED THE ELECTRIC CAR EV-1 by chris paine and chelsea sexton (who was the whistle blower on the project).they made a movie on the car. such an outcry by the people that leased them, they had a protest march and were arrested. it's all on film what a baald faced lie from GM and bush.

I believe in what you say T Boone and want to be part of it.These old oil wells would be perfect to put windmills on,suplying power to near by Chorpis Christi,Tx./I also have another ten acre parcel in Splendora,Tx.,twenty minutes to Houston a few could be put on & God knows Houston needs it.I have tried to put a fish farm on Salt Lake but USDA has no grant money for me.Dow Chem. can give 13 million for hatchery in Jackson,Tx.,but all I get is U.S. Fish & Wildlife & State asking to build a herron nesting sight on an island they built up with sand bags/mmmmI understand you are leasing land & paying royalties on it/Maybe we can put fish farm under it to "feed"future generations!!!!!!!!Andy
