ASR’s plan is to introduce the product commercially in the fall/winter of 2009, the Disintegrator(TM) and Disintegrator Plus(TM). It enables patients who give themselves injections, including those suffering from multiple sclerosis or diabetes, to properly and safely dispose of needles at home. The EPA and the American Diabetes Association approve the device.
California has already stepped up to the plate to announce the need for allowing the disposal of needles, and by October 9th, we should know the answer.
BILL ON NEEDLE, SYRINGE AND ‘SHARPS’ DISPOSAL HEADS TO GOVERNOR

SACRAMENTO – State Senator Joe Simitian (D-Palo Alto) announced today that his bill, SB 486, to facilitate the safe disposal of “sharps” (a type of medical waste that includes syringes and needles) passed its final hurdle in the Legislature. It now heads to the Governor, who has 30 days to either sign or veto it.
“For anyone with a family member who takes insulin or other medical injections, this idea will seem long overdue,” Simitian said. “We tell patients they can´t throw sharps away, it´s against the law; but there isn´t an easy, safe solution. The net effect is that roughly one million Californians are ´lawbreakers´,” said Simitian, “with no practical alternative. SB 486 is a step toward a real solution. The bill makes it easier to do the right thing, and we should all be safer as a result.” 
So now, it is up to Arnold The Terminator Schwarzenegger. Will he obliterate the investor’s portfolios? Not likely. Reports say that he is set to sign the bill to regulate the disposal of needles. Shortly, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will have the opportunity to sign Senate Bill 486 into law. The bill, authored by State Senator Joe Simitian (D-Palo Alto), gives pharmaceutical manufacturers the opportunity to develop plans for the safe disposal of sharps waste that will help consumers access safe disposal alternatives for their home-generated needles, and reduce the public safety and environmental risks arising from arising from sharps disposed in the regular waste stream.
There is no doubt he will sign it, after all, just back in 2006 he had previously signed a safe needle disposal bill.

September has been an exciting month for ASFX. The price has clearly broken a strong resistance level at .05 cents that was established back in Q1 of 2008. It also exceeded the corresponding top trend-line (dashed Blue line on the chart) of a price channel that has been in control for almost two years. This move indicates the price channel (Blue lines on the chart) may have expanded and the previous top trend-line (dashed Blue line) now appears to be the new mid-line. Typically, one doubles the height of the previous channel and this could indicate the new top trend-line is near the .10 cent level. Given the ever increasing volume these past 6 months and especially with the heavy volume the previous two months (Grey volume bars), interest seems very positive and this momentum should push this stock well into the upper levels of the freshly expanded price channel and beyond. September also saw the standard bullish signal of the daily 100 SMA (Orange line) crossing up and over the daily 200 SMA (Yellow line) occur. Another bullish sign is that both these moving averages are trending up. As always, it’s good to keep in the back of your mind that in the past this stock has traded at prices above $2.00 dollars.

We’re almost certain that after reading such a comprehensive profile on American Scientific Resources, Inc. there should be no need for a sentiment. Comparable to an early Spongetech, endorsed by a famous spokesperson, endless marketing and distribution channels, sales figures which continue to rise, ingenious products which marvel past competition — No really, what more do you want in a penny stock?
