Wow! The Dow cratered another 508.39 points!! Nasdaq lost 108.08 points, and SPX fell 60.66 points! It’s synchronized “diving” across the board! In our Trading Room, most people are jumping on puts:

Come join us as our members score on the “darboard for puts”! The recent selling has been pretty indiscriminate. Let’s take a look at the sectors:
GLD (gold) and SLV (silver) made some nice gains. Foreign currencies were also higher. USO (oil) made a modest bounce. Otherwise, it’s pretty red everywhere else! XLF (financials) dropped 10.56%!! PBW (clean energy) fell 10.62%. FXI (Chinese ADRs) were down 5.71%.

SPX closed below 1000, at 996.23!
Nasdaq
Nasdaq stumbled 108.08 points to close at 1754.88.
The charts are just horrible. They have basically turned “vertically” downward! VIX closed at almost 54. Looks like it could hit 60 tomorrow. Just be careful, when things turn vertical like this, sharp reversals may be near. Things are moving fast and wild, so I’m taking this market day-by-day and keeping lots of cash!
