One of Wellington Financial’s two sponsored pro golfers, Richard Scott, shot a 65 in the third round today to tie for 2nd place at the Players Cup in Winnipeg. Minus 9 so far on the tournament; just one shot back. The winner of the event gets an automatic bye into next week’s RBC Canadian Open PGA event. Richard has played in the Canadian Open for the past two years, so the karma will be good tomorrow. Richard will be in the final pairing.

Richard was a three time Canadian Amateur champion, and had a victory on the Tar Heel Tour last year. Although he didn’t get past the 2nd round of PGA Q-School, he is on the Canadian Tour circuit this year. Great visibiliy for our firm across the country, as he wears our bucket and shirt.
He placed 5th last weekend at the Telus Open in Edmonton.
